Nepsis MOREOM Congress 2026

Nepsis Switzerland will take part in the Nepsis MOREOM Congress 2026, held in Rome from 8 to 11 October. 🇨🇭🇮🇹

Thank you to everyone who signed up! This year Nepsis Switzerland has a record turnout, and the Rome Congress looks set to be the one with the largest gathering of young people from the countries of the Metropolis.

The Congress, organised by the Federation of Nepsis Brotherhoods (Nepsis MOREOM) with the blessing of the Metropolitan Synod, brings together young people aged 14 to 35 from the parishes of the 10 countries of the Romanian Orthodox Metropolis of Western and Southern Europe. In the presence of the hierarchs of the Metropolis, participants will take part in talks, themed workshops and informal activities, organised by age group.

We hope to share beautiful moments together in Rome and to come back strengthened in faith and in friendship.

Our Activities

Gatherings and Pilgrimages

Pilgrimages to monasteries, hikes with catechesis and visits to the Romanian parishes in Switzerland.
Spiritual Life

Vigils, the Divine Liturgy, conversations and talks with priests and bishops of the Metropolis.
Culture and Byzantine Chant

Online Byzantine chant lessons, visits to museums and libraries, film screenings.

Who are we?

Nepsis Switzerland is an organisation of the young people of the Romanian Orthodox Metropolis of Western and Southern Europe, which seeks to offer a setting where young people can get to know one another and join forces to keep the flame of faith and tradition burning in the countries where they live.

With the blessing of His Eminence Father Iosif (Metropolitan of Western and Southern Europe of the Romanian Orthodox Church), the Nepsis Switzerland branch took wing at the end of 2018 and has as its patron saint Saint John Cassian of Dobruja, the founder of Western monasticism (4th century), celebrated by the Romanian Orthodox Church on 29 February.
