Pilgrimage to Father Gabriel Bunge

The weekend of 5–6 October 2024, organised by Nepsis Switzerland, was a blessing and a great spiritual joy. On Saturday we met at 2:30 p.m. to climb up together to the Holy Cross Skete, where we received an edifying word from Father Archimandrite Gabriel Bunge. Father gave us precious advice about the spiritual life, prayer and taking up the cross, using numerous examples from the book of Job.

The Nepsis members had the chance to hold spiritual conversations with the monks of the Santa Croce skete. The evening ended with the Ninth Hour and Vespers, followed by a brotherly dinner in Lugano. On Sunday morning we gathered at the Romanian Parish in Lugano for Matins and the Divine Liturgy, celebrated by Father Bogdan Dincă. The agape meal that followed strengthened the communion among us all and was an occasion to get to know one another and to reflect on the weekend we had spent together.
