Year 2025
The Nepsis MOREOM Coordinators' Colloquium
With the blessing of His Eminence Father Iosif, Metropolitan of Western and Southern Europe, the Nepsis Coordinators’ Colloquium took place from 29 May to 1 June 2025 in Banneux (Belgium): an event that brought together young representatives of the organisation from several dioceses of the Metropolis.
Alongside the Nepsis teams from Belgium, France, Italy, the Netherlands, Ireland and the United Kingdom, the Nepsis Switzerland delegation was also glad to be present at this meeting.
The aim of the colloquium was to get to know one another, to share experiences and the challenges met in activities with young people, and to improve communication and cooperation between the branches.
The event was coordinated by Gabriela Pipirig, president of Nepsis Belgium, who has rich experience in work with young people. The working programme, very well structured, helped us identify the shared challenges and discuss solutions suited to each diocese. Among the central topics were the plan for structuring the teams at national level, as well as the outlining of the Nepsis coordinator’s profile.
His Eminence Father Iosif took part in the meeting online, showing his support for this beautiful mission of Nepsis and encouraging the concrete implementation of the conclusions and ideas that came out of the colloquium.
Father Nicodim Petre also joined online: he spoke about the challenges met in organising missionary work and answered the participants’ practical questions.
The meeting was at the same time an occasion for communion and prayer: the participants took part in the Divine Liturgy in the chapel at Banneux, enjoyed a brotherly atmosphere and made lasting friendships.
The Nepsis Switzerland delegation thanks the organisers and all the participants for the constructive dialogue and for the beautiful moments spent together. With hope and enthusiasm, we continue our mission among young people.
We thank God for this wonderful opportunity and pray that He will help us make good use of the fruits of this meeting!
We invite you to read the articles published by the delegations from Italy and from Belgium as well.
